The inaugural Darwin International Youth Match Racing Regatta will be held at Darwin Sailing Club from Tuesday 4th to Saturday 8th July 2017. Six youth teams will compete in DSC's brand new fleet of Elliott 7m keelboats for the ‘Australian Maid’ perpetual trophy, named after Dr Jon Wardill’s boat. For 26 years, Jon and ‘Australian Maid’ provided an unparalleled opportunity for Northern Territory youth sailors to compete in international keelboat competition, at regattas in Australia, Asia, Europe, UK, and North America.
